Agoraphobia & Social Anxiety Support Group
Agoraphobia is an anxiety disorder, often precipitated by the fear of having a panic attack in a setting from which there is no easy means of escape. As a result, sufferers of agoraphobia may avoid public and/or unfamiliar places. In severe cases, the sufferer may become confined to their home, experiencing difficulty traveling from this "safe place."
Hello everyone...Ill kindly like to refer to myself as Dlam for safety...but I'm a 21 yr old male suffering from acne...ongoing for more than a year now...I've tried most meds that would get great reviews and be worshipped by dictors but to no luck...i recently had a girlfriend who left me forher ex...my acne was part of the reason our relationship was bumpy as i sometimes lacked self confidence...luckily it was during the pandemic...still is...so I'd use my mask to cover up but not from her...we broke up once due to us not being intimate enough cause she would mention how i once gave her acne...it was hard...ever since I've never felt good about myself ...i try to pep talk myself in the mirror but as soon as i start encounters with people outside i become nervous again...i constantly pray and hope that i get through this...be blessed yoll.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
are you new to "body shaming?" that is when people make you ashamed for how you look. i've been subjected to it my entire life, mostly by family members, but i often think body shaming is the world's most popular sport. even the classic beauties have folks who would shame them for being **too** beautiful. a history of body shaming sure can make for some hideous social anxiety.
dunno if that is pertinent to your case, or not, but i mostly wanted to welcome you aboard and thought i'd mention that personal experience up to see if it resonates for you.
whether it resonates, or not, welcome aboard.
gentle support while you sort your own case.
