I made a commitment to this Al-Anon group and I'm really trying to keep it.



Let's see over the past couple weeks my car failed inspection but it didn't cost that much to fix.



Then I was driving over half an hour away making some much-needed bonus money on deliveries and the car started making a popping sound from underneath. Knowing the sway bar links had just been replaced I got nervous and I looked underneath, but couldn't see anything. I decided after one delivery to bring it home. Test drove it with my boyfriend and it hasn't made that noise since but completely makes me nervous now because my car might be 2010 but I got it at 197,000 Miles whomever had it before drove the heck out of it and I've never had a car with over 175000 before and now two years later my car has 233000. Praying for the angels to just protect my car all the parts and keep them strong.



The delivery people signed up another person in my area so now there are five people delivering for an area that only needs three. The rest of us have been screwed out of half of our income that we were making. I'm in between jobs right now so I'm working it to pay my bills and other people are just trying to get a couple extra dollars here and there and they will sign up all the hours until the last minute then drop them when nobody can use them! So so frustrated about that and people who are high as a kite giving you the wrong address and then getting mad at you for it! Nothing like getting a bad rating for no reason!



My stupid smartphone is worse than ever and cannot read my voice and translate it properly and you will not believe the things in has said!


Potential employers who contact you back 6 days after they call to set up an interview asking to set up the interview because they were busy! Other potential employers with help wanted ads who do not call you back at all and having to chase down potential employers!



Trying to figure out how to use one car for two jobs for two people!



I guess it's something that my boyfriend actually had a discussion with me without yelling at me the other day!



Then on top of that getting a small version of the flu that I'm still getting over after flu season and after the flu shot wore off, LOL


Waiting to be approved for FAFSA so that I can go to DeVry and get my general business degree and work on my bachelors in HR so that I can find a long-term career because let's face it up to this point every job which I thought I was making a career out has went out of business or screwed me and the ones now I'm applying for just have no respect.


So yeah I'm a little cranky

You have a challenging life, to say the least. Those discussions without yelling are the best, aren't they? Have you ever seen the movie/read the book, "The Devil Wears Prada"? I have/had no interest in "the rag trade," but the cast was brilliant, and I came away from the experience totally depressed about modern society, and I mean that in a good way. It kind of "removed the scales" from my already cynical eyes. I hope things improve for you, though.

Your occupation sounds similar to what I use to do. I had a motor route for delivering newspapers. At one point I had over 500 daily customers and 13 stores I delivered to. I couldn't do it alone so my wife help me by rolling up the newspapers while I stuffed them into the paper boxes.

It was a very demanding job 7 days a week and we made good money but when we figured in the expenses of car repairs and filling the gas tank every two days, and doing a brake job every 3 weeks, then it wasn't really alot of money but I think my wife enjoyed getting those big checks even though the money was gone before we received it...

The paper job took us about 4 hours roughly depending on the weather. Winters were very tough and we got stuck alot and had to call triple A. They lost money on us, I am sure.

During the week, I worked another job in a wood working plant so working two jobs was very difficult for me but I did it anyway. It didn't matter how much money we made. It didn't ,make us happier and we ended up filing bankruptcy anyway.

I am divorced now but living a good life and I am very happy.

Thank you I appreciate the reality checks and encouragement. It's DoorDash right now because the company I tried to make a career from screwed me after almost 2 years. I know what you mean about Newspaper Delivery I did that years ago. 7 days a week. Subs want more then I made to sub for me and wouldn't listen to me, lol With my foot it's hard to find work I can do as I need to sit when it hurts. I can't lift as if it puts too much pressure on my lisfranc bone it will break permanently and I won't be able to walk. So employers around here don't hire easily. I decided to go back to college and get my associates in Business w specialist in HR. Just got approved and now have 4 entrance exams to take. A lil stressful since haven't been in school in a long time. I'm frickin 47, lol

    check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

     I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...
