Naturally... I finally decide to post how well things are going... and then a couple nights later, the streak is over. I had a really exhausting day and by the time I got to sleep, even though my bladder was empty to start with, I slept hard through the whole night and by the time I woke up my bladder had already filled and spilled and I woke up to a freezing cold puddle in my bed.
Disappointing as it is, I know I just have to keep trying and doing the right things to help myself stay dry... and hope for the best. It's frustrating because it's something you ultimately can't control -- you're asleep and helpless when it happens, you just have to hope your bladder holds on long enough for your body to feel it amd wake up. Still, there are physical and mental factors you can control that contribute to it, and it's important to make sure you're not over-hydrated, your bladder starts out the night empty, and you're getting enough rest to have a chance of waking up or at least holding on a little while. When things are going well, at least for me, t's easier to keep close tabs on those things and keep it going -- when it's going badly, sometimes it's tempting not to bother as much. It is certainly frustrating to take every precaution you can and still wake up with soaked sheets! But... I know I have to keep being careful or it could easily get worse than it has been.
How is everyone else doing? What do you guys do (those of you who don't wet every night) to keep yourself motivated to do everything to help yourself stay dry -- whether you've been going well or going badly? Do you think taking all the precautions, limiting your fluids, peeing before bed, etc., makes noticeable difference for you? Maybe by using this board to encourage each other we can all help each other stay motivated to do the best we can to try to beat this thing...

I think my best way of coping is just to not fixate on the issue too much. Right now I am going through probably the most stressful time in my life so far, mostly work related. There is very little I think I can do to change it. I guess what I am saying is right now I have bigger fish to fry, and as other things resolved my wetting will also be less frequent as stress plays a factor for me. I am typically at the once a month or so level but lately its been a couple times a week. I usually wake up as I start wetting but lately I have been sleeping through it and not discovering until I wake up in the morning. Sometimes the only way I know it happened is from the all to familiar odor because it dried up. Yuck.
