Anyone else know what I'm talking about here? I've been noticing again this year, as it's gotten really cold, that I find myself needing to go to the bathroom even more often, and more urgently, with less urine than usual. Often it just takes me a few seconds to completely drain my bladder when it felt like it was almost completely full before going. I've also been having to get up and go at night more with a similar reduction in volume. This happens every year when it gets cold, but it still seems to take me by surprise each year because all the increased running to the bathroom is so annoying. Anybody else here have that experience?

Yes, my daytime frequency increases, with less volume. So I take more precautions travelling. However, night frequency increases but with more volume - tho I do not wake, I am more likely to have to add inner boosters and outer soakers to my disposables - and deal with leaks due to flooding. I supppose it answers my earlier post about sudden increase in flooding and wet beds. It's a pain. Winter blues!

Alas! Only thin muslin/gauze booster last night, and leaked. Thick terry towel one tonight then.

Hmm.... I haven't experienced the increased volume at night. For me it's the same small volume as usual, if anything a bit smaller, just more frequent. I imagine if you are sleeping through and going several times in the same night then it would mean an increased volume. If I wake up wet then I guess the wetness usually wakes me up before I end up going more that once, so it's just the usual smallish wet patch. I do think it is a bit smaller in the winter but still enough to be ice cold!

yes, I do have to go more often and have more leakage, but I feel like it is from the discomfort of be cold.

I don't know about at night, but when I was younger the cold weather did affect my capacity to "hold it". In my 20's dad and I worked in central London and had a fairly long walk back from the station. We sometimes met on the way home and in the coldest weather would have to take emergency pees against trees or even (if no one was looking) just at the side of the road. This was not always possible and sometimes we both needed fresh pants by the time we reached home.
