Although I am totally incontinent and must wear protection 24/7, I think I understand. At my last urologist's appointment, the beginning of October, my doctor measured my bladder capacity at 4 ozs., or half a cup. Of necessity, I use my diaper to extend the time between bathroom visits. May I suggest that you consider using an external catheter? You would need to be fitted, which is embarrassing, but a good-fitting external catheter and leg bag combination just might give you the freedom you need. Good luck.
I previously attributed this to drinking too much coffee, beer, etc. I finally realized that this wasn't normal, when I'd be sitting in meetings and everyone had a huge coffee cup next to them.
Out of curiosity, do you take vitamin C? It irritated my bladder badly. I used to take vitamin C supplements, and had some times when I would have to use the bathroom multiple times per hour. The urge would be very strong, but in reality I didn't have to go much. Obviously this was a big problem before bed and overnight. The overly frequent trips to the bathroom did subside somewhat, once I stopped taking the large amount of vitamin C that I was taking. However, that did not solve the problem altogether; I still have the frequency issues, but they're not as severe at certain times.
