I wet so often, I can't notice that anything really makes a difference.

I agree with the previous posts. However, I rarely ever leak my diaper, but the last time that I did was during final exams for my BA. I was studying until 2am almost every night and under tons of stress between that and symphony practices.

I am exactly the same. When I am not under a lot of stress I can go as long as a couple of weeks without a wet night. But when I am stressed I will wet as often as every night. I am on a week long run of wet nights now and I am sure it is work related. When my wife was diagnosed with leukemia I was wet every night through her four months of treatment and six or seven months after she passed away. I think it may depend of what the root cause of your wetting is. I have always thought mine was emotional and my wetting pattern seems to support that to a point. But even when I have long periods of little or no stress I still can’t go more than a few weeks without having a run of three or four wet nights and then they cycle repeats.

@Lifelongwetter -- thanks for your reply! I personally don't think emotions are ever entirely the root cause of bedwetting (although that used to be the prevailing theory for many years) but I do think that emotions can definitely play a role in making an already existing problem much worse. Specifically, I think stress alters our sleep patterns so that we are less likely to be able to "feel" the bladder filling up and either contract the muscles to "hold it" or wake up and get to the bathroom. Still. lots of people have emotional issues and relatively few wet the bed as a result. If you've done it all your life though (as your name suggests) I'd suspect there was some kind of physical or developmental issue there, and the emotional complications just kind of aggravate it, in a way that wouldn't happen for someone whose "plumbing" was entirely normal. Not that it matters that much anyway, as it doesn't change what happens -- but that's the conclusion I've come to anyway. :) And yes, my pattern seems to be quirte similar to yours, although in my adult life I've been able to go as long as a couple of months between accidents at the best of times. It always seems to happen out of the blue every so often though no matter what else is going on or what I do.
