Adoption is the legal act of permanently placing a child with a parent or parents other than the birth parents. Whether you are looking to adopt, putting your child up for adoption, parenting an adopted child, or just thinking about it, this is the place to discuss.
Today we met with our CAS worker about a child proposal. The proposal almost seems to good to be true....We are an excellent cultural and religious match. The child is as old as the one that I m/c a while ago. And I am failing in love with the child who might be ours in the near future.
We are excited however there is still the interview screening process.
My husband and I are nervous about this process because this will be our first time through the system. The only private adoption interview we had was a disaster and demeaning for both of us. We are just afraid that we will go through the process and end up without a child like the last time.
We know in our hearts that adoption is what we want to do, we wnat a forever family...we are just scared that we will not be chosen.
Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers for the 28th of Feb. That is when the interview and decision will be made.

I love hearing this and it always brings tears to eyes. Think positive and envision the child in your life. I hope it all goes well.
When I was pregnant and talking to our adoptive parents we chose, we heard all the heartache they had been through. The miscarriages. The failed fertility attempts. All the money and heartache and wondering why this had all happened to them.
When I gave birth and my (their ) son was placed in their arms, they said all of it had been worth it, because this was the child they were meant to love and have.
And it's the same for everyone. If anything falls through, it's because God has a greater plan for you. I can't imagine the painful journey for those that can't have children and waiting so long for something that came so easy for me. I was far more blessed than I ever imagined and it took going through this process to see all the wonderful couples and see how fortunate I really was.
You will definitely be in my prayers.
