Adoption is the legal act of permanently placing a child with a parent or parents other than the birth parents. Whether you are looking to adopt, putting your child up for adoption, parenting an adopted child, or just thinking about it, this is the place to discuss.

I'm not trying to be negative here - But, it sounds that it would be more healthy for YOU to have someone help you adopt the baby to a couple that wants and can't have a child. I'm not saying that what you are trying to do is wrong - I commend you! But, sometimes you have to think about your health and well being before you rush to take care of everyone else's problems. Sounds like you have a huge heart and have a hard time telling people "no".

I agree with JJILLIE. You could possibly have this child join a family who is ready for adoption with the stipulation that you are still part of the child's life. If someone local adopted the child you could be the grammy and I think that might be great for your mental health but not damaging to your physical health.

I would ask the birth mother to sign her rights over to you. Then if anything happened their shouldn't be any problems. Hope that's helpful.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
