Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and attention deficit disorder (ADD) are more common than you might think. It is a syndrome that exhibits symptoms such as hyperactivity, forgetfulness, mood shifts, poor impulse control, and distractibility. Join others who suffer from these conditions and share your experiences.
Have the school set up a program for his ADHD that will give him less homework. It helps if you sit down with him and work together on what homework he does have. Its hard to find time to do that, but it also takes a lot of time to keep reminding him to get back to work and its more stressful that way.
When my wife was a child she started stuttering when she was forced to change from being left handed to right handed. When they gave up and let her be left handed again and sent her to speech therapy class she stopped stuttering. I have seen some balancing exercises to help ADHD people to connect different parts of their brains better, maybe that would help. I think they were in Dr. Hallowell's book "Super Parenting ADD"
