I am hoping to get some suggestions as to what has worked for those of you who share custody.
My ex just moved to Lafayette ( about 40 min away from us). He has the kids once during the week and this is a problem. My son needs to maintain a very regimented schedule each morning/nite certain foods, good nights rest and OT in the morn before shcool and I know ex does not adhere to it and it severly screws up his success the next day at school. Ex is not willing to 'give up his weekends' and I dont know where to go with this. at this point I have full custody even though he is supposed to have them 20% of the time. I would just say fine, I'll keep them, because it really is what is best for Ryan. Ex is not committed to any of the numerous appts each month. My son is high maintenance, I LOVE HIM TO DEATH but I NEED a break to recharge. Do any of you share custody?

I'm sorry you are having this difficulty. I am not in your situation, so I can't give you advice. The only thing I can do is tell you that I understand your feelings. There are so many people out there, who just don't understand ADD/ADHD, some don't even think it exists. I know my son was very high maintenance, and many other people here have kids who are the same way. We understand your need for a break. I hope you get this worked out, or find an alternative way to get a break, even if it is not provided by your ex.

It sounds like what I need to do is take back Thurs and not be a crytch for him on the weekends his is supposed to have them. the thing is, I get concerned if when he calls me to watch them on his weekends that if I dont he will put them with a sitter. my daughter would be fine with this but as you know, my son cant be left with just anyone...

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
