ADHD / ADD Support Group
Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and attention deficit disorder (ADD) are more common than you might think. It is a syndrome that exhibits symptoms such as hyperactivity, forgetfulness, mood shifts, poor impulse control, and distractibility. Join others who suffer from these conditions and share your experiences.
But whether its a Best Friend or a Boy Friend, it can be tough to find someone who
accepts us for who we are, flaws included.
The thing to remember, I think, is that noone
is perfect. Everyone has weaknesses and strengths, its just that an actual disability
of some sort can be more obvious. I've long been of the opinion that those who judge others or are biased against them, due to something they can't control, are suffering from the worst disability of all: intolerance. We can only hope they recover.
So I guess what I'm saying is that having ADD/ADHD isn't a death sentence, and it doesn't mean that you'll never be able to make good friends or have a relationship. It just means you have to wade through some crappy people who don't understand you before you find some that love you anyway :) And you will, honey. Stick it out, and you'll find happiness.
Be a good friend to the friends in your life TODAY. The "forever" part takes care of itself.
