Just a little note to all of us that deal with an ADHD person, Look this up, Feingold diet it's very interesting not only does it talk about how food can affect the syptoms of ADHD but also smells, I found that I get very edgy around alot of perfumes, Noises can have a great impact.

Very intersting stuff, it's been around forever my mom tried some of it with me in the 60's

My sons doctor have told me that some ADHD cases also include sensory issues, whether they are over or under sensitive. In my son this is really obvious. He can not handle loud noises or the feel of certain thins. But pain wise he can withstand alot.

Yes, we have the same sensory issues here. My son is sensory seeking in just about everything except auditory. Almost everything is toooo loud for him and he has to cover his ears. Earplugs seem to work sometimes.

The Feingold diet is really amazing. You never really realize how much the food additives and colorings can affect each individuals body differently. It is like a drug with bad side affects for some of us and no side affects for others... not to memention there are certain additives that are more offensive to our ADHD kids then other additives. This diet give you all these details. Check it out.

My daughter is very sensitive to loud sounds like balloons popping and the vaccuum cleaner running.

I'm gonna check it out! Thanks for the heads up. I've been dealing with my daughter's ADHD for 5 years and have never heard of this. Thanks again.
