but it's not about having ADHD, it's about not being able to pick up and move on.
Sometimes, feel like I am in Quicksand.
BUT, have PTSD, too.....THAT seems to be my Biggest Demon...not sure, however...
Know I am tired of feeling like this...
that being said, must admit today I FELT better than I have in a long, long time..
Seem like something clicked late last night when I decided to accomplish something, even IF was one thing at a time...
been washing clothes and folding clothes, and still have to finish, but...
am Forcing myself to complete one task @ a time...
Before I get in the kitchen, I am going to finish with the folding.....thank GOODNESS most have been folded & put away, so just Feeling Better about myself has made a difference.....Big Difference.
Doesn't sound like much, but honey, ANYTHING was better than nothing...:)
I was so sad before I started complying with my medication, and after i finally started taking it, just being able to get more accomplished on a daily basis instead of stressing myself out so much because I had to constantly force myself to get things done was a huge relief! My advice would be to consider starting whatever medication your doctor reccomends at a low dose and increasing it only if you have to. You can always quit taking it if you decide you don't like it.
And, if you still aren't sure about that, consider getting a coach. There are people out there that specialize in helping people with ADD learn to cope with it through organization skills, time management, goal setting, etc.
There is something that only you can do. You are valuable to God even if you do nothing. He made you with a special purpose. he loves you/ really. my son has add and it has been hard, but he has discovered his strengths- artistic, spontaneous, love of life.
Hugs to you

Sometimes I feel sad, but I'm more inclined to think that I just...am feeling sad in general, ya know? Lots of reasons I could feel sad, and there are times I just allow myself to do it. I'm allowed to feel sad and so are you. Bottom line, though, in the whole scheme of things in life, there are countless things I think I could deal with that would be much more difficult for me to deal with than my ADD/ADHD. Don't give up, and keep trying. It's not a dead end road you see, my dear, but merely a detour ahead.
love ya
