Yes. That describes me, too.

I'm learning to find things I can do that take little energy.

I used to go to costume dances (I sew elaborate Civil War era gowns for a hobby...or, used to) and had such a wonderful time. I may just go to one in October....I won't be able to dance...just sit and look pretty...but by golly...I can go to listen to the orchestra and watch others dance, and smile and talk to people.

I'm learning to settle into a different life and looking very hard to find joy in this different life. I used to be the wind....now, I am the tree. Held in place, but trying to reach nonetheless...for the sky.

You are lucky to have family nearby. You can celebrate in that!

Thanks Ingrid, you described me to a T. When I was working, my colleagues would have to tell me to cut out the coffee cause I was going 100 miles an hour. Now, when I have a good day, I barely can get my engine started.
Most of the time I thank the Lord that I have the energy I do cause there are those days like today when I can't find it at all. I have the blessing of being amazed when I feel good for days on end.

What dose of hydrocortisone are you taking and at what time do you take your medication. Are you on any other medication for any other endocrine disorder?

I have been diagnosed with AD since 1972,At that time, I was put on cortisone which gave me all sorts of arthritis . Eventually, I went with naturl supplements which work as well for me. No more moon face!!! I recently was diagnosed wih MG. That plus the AD, anemia and a few other, make me tired. It is difficult for someone who was so energitic. But I am learning to schedule my activities according to my meds. I know about how long it takes for them to kick in. After I do a bit of something, it is time to rst. My dogs love that part. They seem to know when i am so tired, and relish laying close to me to watch over me.My favorie word is Tomorrow. It always offers hope and a new start.

I have had Addison's for 24years along with lots of endocrine disorders including, hypothyroidism, hypoparathtyroidism, Osteopenia, Osteoarthritis, Vitiliogo etc. It's called APECED.

Please tell me what you are taking, hydrocortisone-wise and any other conditions, It would help me to see what your situation is medication-wise, really want to help you :-) x

I never heard of that. I do have osteoarthritis, osteopenia,Addison Disease, Myastenia Gravis, Colitis, Anemia,IBS, celiac but not thyroid. The doctors always suspect thyroid but test come back within normal range.

I was diagnosed with hypothyroid about 5 years before Addison's. I knew that I could get other auto-immune diseases.

Addison's, MS, Chronic Migraines, IBS, PTSD...........oh, and MAJOR depression here.

I am grateful to everyone on this site, and that I have people to talk to who understand this struggle.

Well, as long as I am whining, I may as well also share that I woke up this morning with hives all over. Never had them before and itch something awful. Dr gave me an antihistimine. I am somewhat overdosing on antihistimines-taking the one I got today, forgot name, and in between taking benadryl. Still miserable. Pharmacist said that even meds I've been taking for a long time can so this. Great-over 20 meds a day. How does one begin to eleminate the cause if a med is even the cause?
