Addison's Disease Support Group
Addison's disease (also known as chronic adrenal insufficiency, or hypocortisolism) is a rare endocrine disorder. It is estimated that it affects about 1 to 2 in 100,000 people. It occurs when the adrenal glands, seated above the kidneys, fail to produce enough of the hormone cortisol and, sometimes, the hormone aldosterone
You might want to get your thyroid checked if you feel like there is something in your throat choking you. You might have a swollen thyroid or a nodule on your thyroid. It can also cause the fatgue if your thyroid isnt working correctly. That is all I can think of that could be causing that. I would ask your doctor to check your neck area. Maybe get an ultrasound.
Sorry your having more problems. On the hypothyroid board they say that Fibro and hypothyroidism are related. I don't really know much about Fibro. I hope you get an answer to your problem and feel better soon.

Holding on to doors, etc.in fact I don't make any appointments, before 1130. Also because in the mornings, i'm recovering from having 60 mg BP tablets. I feel like I've been hit over by a bus, dizzy beyond belief. It takes me a long time to be awake and with it so to speak. Are usually take all my medication around 6 o'clock in the morning. Just so that I can wake up its bit better. Hope you have a good day today lovexxx
I pushed myself way too much by going to the nursing home yesterday and having our children over. by last night my chest and throat felt bad. my husband told me I woke him up twice in the night because I was breathing like I had sleep apnea....he also said I did the same thing the last time I went through this.
the last thing I will whine about is that I have been so sleepy and tired! I never tell my family or friends how I feel so I guess that's why I'm unloading to you all now.....sorry but thanks for listening.
I do understand how you feel with the cough and breathing issues because I periodically get those symptoms without warning and they last a few days. It also usually happens after increased stress and activity from normal activities. I have an active life with daily workouts, many family commitments and a large home and yard to take care of and normally that is not a problem but add new stressors to that activity and breathing issues and a cough start. Rest, extra meds and salt always seem to help.
I also have the DX of fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue...what I call garbage ( no offense to anyone else w the dx) as there is really no treatment. It means only that I am quite tired and sore.
Good luck. I never vomited (3x's my entire life) until AD... When I developed an unfortunate familiarity ...and had to keep large cups in the car..as if I were stressed...well, you know.
I suggest you go to nadf.us.org and read up on AD, medication levels etc...lots of good info.
