Hi all,
Does anyone else out there get muscle spasms in the hands and feet, lower legs? I am getting these more and more often lately and its driving me crazy. It seems mostly on the right side of my body, mostly in the foot, but now spreading to the calf and the right hand. My electrolytes are all ok - I have had them checked many times.
I swear one of these days I'm gonna just keel over and be unable to function. I wish I knew what was driving all this.

Gah, the cramps kept waking me up all day today. I am so tired I could not stay awake in my class today, nor did I get anything at all done. I went back to sleep and dreamed my legs were cramping up. This is absurd. I haven't had it this bad in a long time. I can still feel the muscles in my right lower leg and foot fasciculating. I want to call my doctor and scream at him to do something - but that would accomplish nothing. SIgh.

I feel for you, i've been dealing with muscle spasms for a few years and some times are worse than others, but these last 2 two weeks have been brutal if i move i get cramps and if i stay still i get cramps.. but my Dr. can't seem to do anything about it.. frustrating!! i don't if it's the addison's or the meds.

I've been getting muscle cramps in my hands for the last couple of years and find that if I take calcium supplements (1,000 mg per day, divided into 2 doses) i don't get the cramps.

If you take calcium supplements, get the ones with Vitamin D (helps absorption).

I have been getting muscle spasms to but in my back and neck really bad! so i am on nurton and muscle relaxant.

Hello,
I have the muscle spasms, twitches,and cramping. I am vitamin D deficient.And with adrenal problems I've read it affects circulation,neuro symptoms, temp,anxiety,and so much more...so I'd mention to doc and make sure it isn't something with vitamins. Also do you know the cause of your adrenal problem? Is it auto-immune if so it could be attacking something else now... Best wishes mae

Thanks for the ideas Mae. My doc is big into vitamins and supplements and already has me on Vitamin D and others. We have looked into that. We don't know the primary cause of my adrenal issues, but I suspect it is auto immune and it could definitely be attacking other things. It is eating my joints and who knows what else. I wish there was a way to get a good solid diagnosis. So frustrating.

Hello ..

I am wating investigations for addisons..

june 2007 my mum came running in screaming sister covered in blood beaten up..

I fell unconsious, my face, neck, arm, bottom and calf on right side locked inspasm since then ..is this addisons symotoms then ...i also lost alot of weight, sick, shaking for a week..

scared..x
