*hugs* I'm so sorry you're dealing with all this. The only change I have noticed since being diagnosed with Addison's is that I seem to go more often. I used to be a once a day every morning kind of person but now I'm more of a 3-4 times a day person and when I have to go I have to go. I don't get cramps or the looseness that you're experiencing. Your symptoms sound very similar to what my friend experiences when her Crohn's Disease flairs up. I assume you've starting cutting out all gassy foods and adding more fiber into your diet? I hope this is just something that passes and you recover soon Vanyel!

You may very well have an overgrowth of Candida Albican which is too much bad bacteria in the intestines and not enough pro-biotics. This is very common with those of us who take meds. or have taken antibiotics which kill infections but also kill good bacteria we need in the intestines. Just eating yogurt with cultures is not enough. You can find protocols for yeast cleanses online.

well, I typed for ages to you,!!! dam lost it all god know where it went, sad to hear about your health Vanyel, I have been on Acacia berry tablets, they seen to help with the bloating and my fluid retention, seem to make me less puffy to, and not gassy. also have you tried the Chinese medicine,? might be worth a take, I like you need a moan, It's all to much sometime's,take care of yourself, love Lezzyx

Have you considered going gluten free? I did 4 years ago and suffer many fewer bowel complaints . I also had the eat and run digestive system.
This is a difficult and troublesome problem. It is such a relief not to HAVE to know where the next restroom is located.
If you decide to try the pro-biotics, be sure to get very high concentration capsules that require refrigeration.

gluten free was the way for me to go, I had a biopsy done in the days before a simple blood test would do and I have celiac, which my doctor says is not uncommon with addisons

My last disease diagnosed was celiac. It caused my Addisson over 10 years ago but the celiac was only found out Dec. 2010. I was born with the celiac. They always thought it was allergies to food that caused my diarrhea. But it has caused 5 different diseases for me, starting with migraines in my 20's and I am now 55 and totally disabled. I would test for it or just go gluten free. I have not had problems after going off gluten and staying stress free. Good luck. Thanks everyone foryour replies. Things have improved some. Dont really know why. I read up on celiac disease and it suree sounds like a possibility though my doctors have neever mentioned it. Myregular doc talks about gluten free diet a lot but he has never pushed me to do it. I tried once to do it but it is really hard to do and i didnt noticeany benefit. I dont want to have to try again. Sigh. But, for the moment i am doing a little better so well see where it goes. I fear my health is going down the tubes and i really just dont want to deal with it.

If you do have Celiac Disease or even gluten intolerance you will need to avoid all wheat, barley, rye, buckwheat and oats. It is very easy today to follow this diet because there are so many stores that sell gluten free products. Most grocery stores and health stores sell them. Many restaurants even have gluten free menus. You would need to be on a gluten free diet for at least a month to notice the improvement in your health. Not following this diet is a sure way to go downhill fast.
Many people who have Celiac disease have never been diagnosed and the symptoms are similiar to other auto-immune disorders. It is very common that people with Addison's also have another auto-immune disorder that triggered the Addison's.

Probiotics is the best. Ive had lots of issues myself and when I began talking probiotics it helped doesnt make it all go away but it helps. Aslo take more then the recommended dosage. God Bless Darla

I was really struggling with this. I assumed it was my Addison's and just suffered. I would get sick no matter what I ate...right after eating. I would be so nauseated and my stomach really cramped. Soon, I would do the what's-my-movement-gonna-look-like-this-time routine....or....is it even gonna MOVE?!

I limited lactose too. Drank nothing but rice milk. Worried I was Celiac.

About two months ago I insisted my doctor look deeper into the problem. Turns out, I had contracted H-Pylori bacteria and it was quite bad. They don't know where you get it from, and it's quite common. Could be from something I ate; my toothbrush; a toilet seat; shaking someone's hand; from my last hospital visit, etc. It's something you have to take care of though, or you can develop a gastric ulcer...or worse.

I went on really harsh antibiotics and was pretty sick from the meds, but the bowel problem seems to be getting better. I had a test this past week and hope to learn soon if they knocked out the bacteria.

Oh....and, whine on! I whine to my little dog all the time. Kieffer just yawns as if to say..."Whatever." He's a captive audience and kisses me just the same.
