i had a synacthen test today and it made me feel really high and happy and warm and everything was shinny until worn off then i felt sad an hung over an cold .is this a normal feeling?

When my Husband had his he actually went the other way. he couldnt stand or sit and had to lay down until they had drawn the second lot of blood.
His blood pressure dropped.
He ended up in bed for the next 24 hours. But his cortisol levels Dropped during the test.
It showed him what would happen if he had a crisis.

It would be normal if you are secondary Addison's. That means your ACTH isn't sufficient enough to trigger the production of Cortisol to meet your needs. If you have this, your adrenals are fine but your pituitary or another gland ( hypothalamus?) aren't letting you make enough ACTH. That shot they gave you is like a high dose of ACTH :)

Primary Addison's don't feel any different after the injection because their glands are out of gas. They can't produce more Cortisol cus they are kaput.

I don't recall how I felt after the synacth test, but I do remember my first dose of medication I felt like I could fly and do a marathon! I was so energized and wired, it was awesome to have that feeling back!
