having trouble standing

last couple of days I have had trouble when standing. bp 96/60 when sitting but get an error when standing. Called dr and is on vacation for a week so suggested i go to ER. I would prefer not too just seeing if you guys have any suggestions. I do not have either of my adrenals. Thanks.

I too have had trouble standing. Go to ER if you must. Better safe than sorry.

Your blood pressure is getting dangerously low! First try to increase your steroids if no change then get to the ER.

my husband went a got some pedelite had some chicken bullion and drank like crazy started feeling better last night, much better this morning, it is just so expensive i know you understand. Thanks for feed back

do you take florinef? If not then you may want to discuss with your doc about adding it to your meds. Florinef helps retain sodium and it helps keep your blood pressure up. I'd start eating a whole ton of salt throughout the day.

The days before this incident happened did you do any strenuous activities or anything out of the usual? Based on pedialyte and broth making you feel better, it sounds like you somehow became dehydrated and through your electrolytes off balance.

It happened to me after surgery, so I basically sat for three months!
The cure...a couple of cups of bouillon, plenty of salt, and increased prednisone for a couple of days. Worked like magic.
What a waste of three months.

Be careful with the Pedialite. If it's similar to Gatorade, it has a lot of potassium.
Our potassium tends to run high so aim for sodium without potassium when you get shaky or weak. Those little skinny pretzel sticks work great! Even when I'm not hungry, I can eat a few of those without forcing myself.

You are on Florinef/Fludrocortisone, right? You'd have to be if you have no adrenals.

with no adrenals I DO take florinef my potassium runs low for some reason so that has never been a concern. i worry alot about taking too much cortisol, Before have adrenals removed I was diagnosed with cushings that is the opposite of addison's and I know first hand of the horrible things that too much corisol can do to ravage your body this also caused my type 1 diab.
