Hi Guys,
I haven't posted in a long time, since I've had a lot of things to take care of, but I am just devastated that an old symptom had returned, and it's worse than ever.
Very hard to explain, and over the years, the doctors just throw up their hands about it. I feel not only a weakness, but I would say an inflammatory feeling in my muscles. Sometimes I feel as if I've been punched in the stomach, other times it gravitates to my upper back and shoulders.
Along with this, I get a lot of gasping and shortness or breath, I get very hot, simply doing a small amount of activity or walking, and at times I just feel as though my heart will explode.
Can you see why the doctors all shout, asymptomatic? I call it my misery, and so hard to explain that it doesn't involve pain, but frankly, I'd rather have some pain than this! It makes me writhe around to try to deal with the inflamed, weak feelings. I was so very grateful to have it go away, for the most part, this past year or so, and now it's back! I had just begun a health regimine (sp) of doing some walking, and eating healthier, and this is like a slap in the face, to say the least!
Have any of you experienced anything that resembles this? It's not fatigue, it's not pain....it's a feeling I can hardly bear. I have had blood tests, and my kidneys and liver are ok, my thyroid is a little low, but it wasn't last time I had this. I am also experiencing eczema on my hands and wrists.
Well, that's the whole ugly story. I am on HC 20 -25 mg a day. Sodium is fine. Thank you in advance, if any of you either know what's going on, or if you have felt this...it is really disabling, and for all I know, it may not be from the Addison's.

I'd suggest following an AutoImmune Paleo protocol and slowly introduce other foods one by one to fine out what might be causing you issues.
In my time of having AD, I have come to realize that while my doctor is awesome, he is limited with what he can do for me, a lot is up to me.

I was diagnosed at age 18, after many months of debilitating illness that was that was labeled everything from laziness to mental illness and everything in between. I learned early on to trust my own body and pay no attention to those who don't understand.
So all that you mentioned, I believe I know what you are describing. Do these episodes come on suddenly and without any apparent reason? Does an internal heat accompany your symptoms? ( a little similar to hot flashes but then again, not) I'm 56 you btw.
Also, weakness has been a state of being in my life since and before actually I was diagnosed. Even though all medical personnel insist that's only a sign b4 your meds are stabilized.....I so beg to differ!
Anyway, I'd be interested to hear back from you. I've never discussed these symptoms with anyone, Dr's don't understand, everyone else, even less so.
Maybe we could vlarify some things for each other.
