Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) Support Group
Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), also known as acute myeloid leukemia, is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells. Patients with AML usually present with symptoms such as fatigue, bleeding, infection, prompting medical attention. An abnormal blood test reading will then result in further testing in a hospital with a hematologist to determine AML.
chemo and ATG has had me feeling bleh, but I'm also excited (and fearful) about the path that is starting tomorrow.
Thank you so much for all your support!

I've been quiet for a few days, not feeling great. Transplant day was good, as for most, it was uneventful and at the same time exciting.
Now it's day +6
I've been struggling with nausea - all and any tips will be appreciated. It's the number 1 thing that has been really bothering me.
The moments I suddenly have a break from nausea, feel great. Once it's back, I can't even carry a conversation, I don't want to see anyone, I just want it to go away...
I have C-Diff, so that's another inconvenience.
And total lack of appetite (which is a new feeling...)
Other than that, things are going as planned.
Will keep updating....

It is so great to hear from you I have been thinking about you and praying that your cells start growing soon.
Jeremy had the same nausea and C-Diff, he drank the Ensure when he could and ate peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, for some reason he could stomach them. They also put a sea sick patch behind his ear and this helped a little.
He is still not eating much but now it's because of the mouth sores. Last night they brought him milk and a powder shake mix that he said tasted like a strawberry milk shake, so he enjoyed it.
As everyone tells me you will start to feel better once your cells start producing and you get some white cells to help heal the tissue linings that the chemo damaged, so relief is right around the corner.
You are in my prayers and thoughts.
