Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) Support Group
Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), also known as acute myeloid leukemia, is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells. Patients with AML usually present with symptoms such as fatigue, bleeding, infection, prompting medical attention. An abnormal blood test reading will then result in further testing in a hospital with a hematologist to determine AML.

Your husband's good health is going to carry him through this. I too was physically fit at 59. They told me they gave me a lot stronger treaments because they felt I could tolerate it and it would give me better chance of survival in the long run. So there is a lot coming at him. He has a strong will to live or he wouldn't have cared so much about his health. And he has a wonderful wife to support him though this. And a lot of folks here on this site pulling and praying for you both.
