Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) Support Group

Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), also known as acute myeloid leukemia, is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells. Patients with AML usually present with symptoms such as fatigue, bleeding, infection, prompting medical attention. An abnormal blood test reading will then result in further testing in a hospital with a hematologist to determine AML.

I've been in remission for three years.
Life is somewhat normal. Energy level about 75%. Have persistant cGVHD starting at one year. Skin and joint related. Some problems with Squamus Cell Carcinomas and recent high liver counts.Merry

Three years is a major milestone -- the longer you survive, the greater your chances of no relapse ever. Of course, something else will get us, but that's OK, we beat the big one! Many happy returns!!! -- dave
