Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) Support Group

Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), also known as acute myeloid leukemia, is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells. Patients with AML usually present with symptoms such as fatigue, bleeding, infection, prompting medical attention. An abnormal blood test reading will then result in further testing in a hospital with a hematologist to determine AML.

Hi, friends -

I've been thinking about Shoshone, and wonder whether anybody has heard from her to know how things have gone since SCT. Shoshone, if you are reading, please know that I am thinking of you and hope that you found some relief from the pain you were feeling in those first days post SCT! Hope you will post sometime and let us know how you are doing.

Shoshone apparently has a YouTube account under the same name. She mentions in one comment that she is under treatment for leukemia. It was about a month ago. I send a message and asked her to come on over here and give us an update.
