Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), also known as acute myeloid leukemia, is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells. Patients with AML usually present with symptoms such as fatigue, bleeding, infection, prompting medical attention. An abnormal blood test reading will then result in further testing in a hospital with a hematologist to determine AML.

Relapsed

This is the last thing I ever wanted to post here.

I have relapsed. Going into treatment and BMT in the next few days.

I'm incredibly sad and angry and frustrated. And also determined and hopeful.

Having a 10/10 unrelated match is so amazing!!!!! What a blessing from God! Hopefully all memories of this process will fade like the first round. I also think as we age, the chemo is harder to tolerate. You are young, strong and a warrior. I have ALL the confidence that you WILL prevail!!!!
