Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) Support Group
Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), also known as acute myeloid leukemia, is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells. Patients with AML usually present with symptoms such as fatigue, bleeding, infection, prompting medical attention. An abnormal blood test reading will then result in further testing in a hospital with a hematologist to determine AML.
What a wife you are! Jimmy should rejoice that he is doing so well and he should uber-rejoice that he has you. I relish your posts, because I can imagine you actually saying those words, they remind me of my visit to Jimmy's room when he was at MSKCC, and they keep me informed about Jimmy. You are his mouthpiece, since he is probably working-out all the time. LOL.
What we should all realize that just because our members disappear from DS for a while (I am guilty of that myself), it does not mean that they are doing poorly. Case in point....Phil Meeks. Phil and I keep in contact. At one time he was active on DS. Now he devotes his time to Be the Match. He is doing VERY well post-transplant. I lost count on the years. He is probably approaching 3.
We should all get ready for the new recruits of 2016. They will need us.
