Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) Support Group
Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), also known as acute myeloid leukemia, is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells. Patients with AML usually present with symptoms such as fatigue, bleeding, infection, prompting medical attention. An abnormal blood test reading will then result in further testing in a hospital with a hematologist to determine AML.
I am so so sorry you two have to endure this, I truly am. Knowing that you lost your beloved Father to AML as well must be so overwhelming. You and Tony are so amazingly strong and are such an inspiration. I inspect my daughters bruises as well and when they complain about going pains, which is often because they are all projected to be over six feet, my mind goes to the dark place. My heart aches for you and I am praying fervently for your family.
May Almighty God grant you rest and peace

Tomorrow's bone marrow is at 10 am, labs at 9, please god let his bmb be clean and labs look good. We will take all the love, prayers and support we can. We feel it will be clean and are really hoping for 100% donor cells as well!

You and Tony have been in my thoughts and prayers all day. How did the BMB and labs go? How long will you have to wait for results?
Julie
I completely understand all of your angst and stress, Lea. I will write more in Lori's thread "Living with Uncertainty", but I am still recovering. I find that I still cannot sleep at night unless I take something to help. I am taking 1mg lorazepam/Ativan at bedtime to calm my rattled nerves so that I can sleep.
