Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) Support Group
Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), also known as acute myeloid leukemia, is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells. Patients with AML usually present with symptoms such as fatigue, bleeding, infection, prompting medical attention. An abnormal blood test reading will then result in further testing in a hospital with a hematologist to determine AML.
Happy birthday to me ! And thanks so much, dear Lord, for my new life.
Congrats on a huge milestone. So happy to hear good news on the forum. I hang on those words and long to be the one talking about 2 years ago, etc.... It will happen. I love this group. Every time I see to have a doubt,I read these posts and realize how I do not walk alone, but I walk with new brothers and sisters. Love you guys!
Peace,
Andrea

That's HUGE!!!! I am so happy for you and your Mum.
YAY!!

I agree with you....PICC bad....HICKMAN good. I had no trouble with my Hickman and all I got was some xylocaine to put it in and nothing to take it out. It was stable, never pulled out, etc. Those PICC lines are either clotting or falling out.
In any event, Melinda's mum has NOTHING!!! As I have said before, when I go for a visit to Memorial-Sloan Kettering, they always ask me if I have a port. To say NO is absolute heaven. Unfortunately, when they ask me if I have had any respiratory symptoms, for the first time, I will have to say YES...cough, cough, cough. UGH.
Be good, Dave. Oh, by the way, where are some new songs??
Cliff
I smile as I think of the re union you will have with your mum. Your family has been through a lot and you deserve to enjoy your time together.

Andrea 100 days hip hooray!!! Hope your week has got better :)
Even though I've had my share of hiccups since transplant it still doesn't feel like it was over 18 months ago, more like 6 months. For me the first 100 days were a breeze so I'm hoping you've had your share of problems and it will be smoother sailing from now on.
