Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), also known as acute myeloid leukemia, is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells. Patients with AML usually present with symptoms such as fatigue, bleeding, infection, prompting medical attention. An abnormal blood test reading will then result in further testing in a hospital with a hematologist to determine AML.

Fluid on the lungs post transplant

Can anyone enlighten me on this. Bro is having? shortness of breath. They did a chest xray and there is fluid. They are draining it tomorrow. His blood number are good with a slight drop in hemoglobin to 9 this week. Like others, I am such a nervous ninny with all this. The docs have assured him this is not abnormal.

He had his second bone marrow transplant in June. 100 day tests were all good.

Still not resolved. Docs think it is the drug. Drained both lungs last Wednesday and he seemed good yesterday. He knows from breathing when it is building. I am hoping the buildup has slowed a bit. He sees docs for regular visit Wed.

Both he and docs want him to stay on 2215 and for now at least, seems they will drain as needed. So far everything else seems good. He seems to be getting stronger. Some baby-like hair.

We are just hoping this is a minor bump --
