Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) Support Group
Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), also known as acute myeloid leukemia, is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells. Patients with AML usually present with symptoms such as fatigue, bleeding, infection, prompting medical attention. An abnormal blood test reading will then result in further testing in a hospital with a hematologist to determine AML.
When I was dxd with this horrid disease the first thing I thought of is those girls. I pray everyday for God s Grace to allow me to raise them
Praying for your brother

Where was your treatment. Fortunately we are in Philly where the trial 2215 is available. This flt3 is a real hurdle!
Thanks for the prayers. We need them plus a miracle. Prayers for you also.
Fortunately, i have been in remission since April of 2013 after induction. I was blessed with a favorable subtype, inversion 16. I had nine months of chemo and had a very blessed journey. God has truly blessed me through this. I try every day not to let fear of relapse steal my joy. I pray that I never take every moment for granted. I'm sorry do for the loss of your friend and for your brothers relapse. My family prayers everyday for all the aml warriors
Blessings

Thank God for those blessings. May He keep you in remission for years to come. You are so young!
Bro is 55 but has the damn Flt3 gene and was very sick when diagnosed in Feb. but we believe in miracles.
God's plans are always better than we can ever imagine!
Thx How is your bro? On 2215 finally? Yes, His wisdom is greater than ours.
I always appreciate your words, support, and wise advice. I know that life for all of us lies only the moment. Last Christmas my brother was fine, my friend was here. This year is so different and it is so hard not to look into the future ---- but I promise I will enjoy the NOW.
I know how lucky we are to be here in Philly --- I can't imagine dealing with this disease if one lies on a remote farm in Iowa.
I thank God we live where there is cutting edge research!
You and your brother have my family's prayers.
Blessings
Julie
