Acromegaly (from Greek akros "high" and megas "large" - extremities enlargement) is a hormonal disorder that results when the pituitary gland produces excess growth hormone (hGH). Acromegaly most commonly affects middle-aged adults and can result in serious illness and premature death. Join the group to discuss symptoms, diagnosis, and treatments.

If you are an acromegaly patient who is currently undergoing treatment, you may be eligible to participate in a one-on-one telephone interview about your condition.
The discussion will last approximately 55 minutes and you can participate from the comfort of your home or office.
If you qualify and choose to participate, we will pay you $75 for your time. Interview time slots are available beginning Monday, February 16, 2009 and ending Friday, March 13, 2009.
The discussion is strictly for research purposes, and your individual answers will be kept completely confidential. There will be no sales follow-up. This study is merely to understand your thoughts and feelings about living with acromegaly and to get your feedback regarding treatments for the disease. To see if you qualify and to schedule a suitable discussion time, please take a moment to answer the next few questions.

I did this survey way before this post and it went well. They were very polite and listened to everything I had to say. There was a sincerety in my surveyors voice. Most of the questions were based on my feelings and thoughts but there were some questions as to the physical effects of the medications I have tried.
