Hello , today I saw my named GP and discussed things. Explained how frustrated I was at being told what isn't wrong with me instead of what is. Haven't seen her in a while and so gave brief recall of symptoms. I stated that yes, I'm under a lot of stress due to personal circumstances at the mo but all these symptoms are longstanding and manifested before any 'stress'.Many things other are out of my control at the moment but at least I should gain some control in my health status.

I also stated that yes I realise I've gained weight but this cannot be responsible for my hands and feet, lip, nose etc and am fed up of hearing about it. My face has changed a lot! Although I've seen an endo, he is not a pituitary specialist and I have little faith in the tests ran due to previous lab errors and the way the tests were conducted ( by that I mean staff following a step by step guide with some elements of poor practice!).

I then told her that my uni leader had strongly recommended a 2nd opinion given her previous role as an neuroendo specialist nurse. I gave her the details of the expert I want to see and mentioned that I'd already emailed him and he is happy to see me for 2nd opinion.

She is going to go through my notes and time lines of symptoms and write to him. She said it may take a while to see him. My response was that things have been going on such a long time now anyway so more waiting was not an issue for me.

So finally some more progress! I need a diagnosis, a differential diagnosis, whatever...... just someone who can see beyond the limits of their expertise for a change.
