Fainting or near fainting episodes

Hi,

We had to take my husband to the ER because of multiple fainting/near fainting episodes. He would get sweaty, a wave of a tingling sensation would wave down his body, he was confused, disoriented and had tunnel vision. They admitted him and did a variety of tests, nothing conclusive. Anyone have any experiences similiar to this? I know it's a knee jerk reaction to relate everything back to acromegaly, but me fear is that doctors just aren't that familiar with this disease and he was treated as a "normal" patient and there may be something they are overlooking.

I'll follow up with his endo and neuro, but just wondered if anyone had any information that could help.

MRI has shown no change for me either and they think it could be scar tissue. I had the gamma knife almost two years ago. I think it was nearly a year and half before my levels dropped. Hope it starts to show signs of working for you too. :)

Nothing yet. From everything I've read, TIA's fit the symptoms the most, which is scary. Best case scenario, it was some crazy random event that will never happen again. You know how you start dissecting everything after something like this, looking for answers. Well, he'd been irritable in the week or so before this, not like himself. I was beginning to wonder if his levels being normal was changing his personality. In the hospital, he was cantakerous, which is not his personality at all. I was even embarrassed with how gruff he was when answering questions. Since then, he's 100% back to his normal personality. Now I'm wondering if that was actually a symptom that should have been mentioned.

green eyes, I can't swear that they checked his iron, but they did a ton of bloodwork, all normal. He's not on any acro meds, so far he's been able to avoid them.
