If you read about the soy itself, this article seems to indicate there is reason to believe that soy would lower IGF-1. What it may not account for is the addition of sugars to the product. I only play a doctor on TV, so I am just playing the guessing game! :-)

A very intriguing thought! I am going to try to look into this.
In the cereal, i'm pouring a half fresh grapefruit juice. Used to drink it, and then eat cereals. Now it's 2 in one :)
And use almond or coconut milk only for coocking, where milk or cream is necessary (meat/fish in sauce, indian cuisine, cakes...).
Now grapefruit is know to increase the effect of many medications, including for high blood pressure. If you drink grapefruit juice frequently, better check if you need to lower the dosage of meds.
How do you know that dairy and soy milk are causing you problems and not something else? What problems do they cause? Are you experimenting with substitutes?
