Has anyone found a decent foundation that doesn't make your acne worse? I know everyone's skin is different, but I am having a hard time finding any good makeup. I don't wear it too often (only on special occasions), but when I do, I'd like something that won't end up giving me more zits. I'd prefer something relatively affordable, and it'd be great if I could get it at a local drugstore.

Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks.

The most affordable I can think of is Neutrogena, the one with salicylic acid, also consider how old your makeup is, specially if you don' use it often, because it can "harbor" bacteria, same with the tools you use to apply it.

Thank you for your reply. My sister swears by Neutrogena's foundation, so maybe I will give it a try. I am not a fan of their other products, though, so we will see. And that is a really good point about the bacteria thing. You actually reminded me that I need to clean my brushes...it's been forever since I've done that.

I like Illumare while it's $27 a tube (ahh! I know) it actually does last forever. I only use a little dab and it goes a long way. It's a mineral foundation and I have found that it does not aggravate my acne.

That or Mineral Fusion from Whole Foods (or Sprouts or Henry;s grocery stores) it's a powder but same thing, I don't notice any extra breakouts from it.

I use a Laura Geller Balance and brighten, it's a powder foundation this works well over acne.
It's lasts me just under 3 months with daily use.
I'm in the UK and get this off out QVC shopping channel but i' sure it might be available in shops like Sephora in the us.

Actually I also use the powder foundation sometimes from Avon. I think you can order it online and they ship anywhere...I paid $11.99 USD.
