I think that accountability can be a really great thing because then you know that other person is going to be asking you about you're doing and it helps you run from temptations. However, sometimes it's hard for me to find somebody that wants to wait like me and will hold me accountable. Maybe we could do that for each other. :)

Its hormones. Its like not eating, the less food you have the more hungry you are. Mind you I am abstinent. But, those pesky thoughts. Like, why does he got to be so cute? Dagnabit! I do masturbate. It seems to help.

It seem to be that way with everything in life. It's ironic. Just like if you are on a diet, you want fatty foods MORE than when you weren't on a diet. But you can do it, you can stay strong. I am 19, and even in this society, I managed to keep mine. :)

yea i agree ive had sex before bit ive decided not to have sex or not to involve myself in any sexual act its been 2 years not and it only seems to get harder but i made a promise to myself to wait until marriage or until i find the person i no im gonna be with forever but yes i agree thats its hard especially when your with someone who doesn't share your thought s thats why ive decided to just wait and find the "one" if this helps then ok and if not im sorry

Well, i have been in my device for about a week now and i have an urge the size of the state of Texas if that means anything.

For me, its my brain telling me NO, but my body is telling me HELL YES..lol My brain has won so far...sometimes I feel the urge SO bad to have sex, but my mind keeps holding back from doing so. I think it has a lot to do w/ mind over matter..at least for me..my mind is always "turned on" in the sense that I am constantly thinking or analyzing something. It is really hard though to find someone who is as patient as we are..but they are out there..just really hard to find ;o)

Actually there's been a bit of a break-through... My partner and I both feel to wait which is VERY important that it's mutual. Of course we both abstain from 'other' sex practices too as that's just part of fornication and disagrees with what God says in the bible which we've been studying a lot and actually amazingly enough led a group about abstinence how God intended.

There is not enough about abstinence in the Christian society as there should be! But the more we get what God says about it into our systems the easier it gets. For once in our relationship I actually feel like abstinence can be quite achievable :) there is a peace that comes with this and a new drive to keep it up!!!! p.s. My partner and I give each other lots of non sexual massages and are taking proactive steps to stop before we get started.

Yeah, that does make alot of sense.

I do get turned on when kissing and just being really close to my boyfriends but I have a funny way to stop when the little red flags go up in the air. LoL.
