I don't like bars or loud, crowded parties. I feel uncomfortable when women are dressed to impress, guys are just saying whatever stupid things to impress women, and it's hard to hear someone, let alone talk to the person, over the noise.
I'm a sensitive person; yet I have good social skills, I think people generally like me, and I've been told I'm handsome. I feel invisible in those raucous settings, where others concentrate on looks and how "smooth" or impressive you act.
I just don't see the appeal to those venues. It's very frustrating, because I feel very alone in this.
Does anyone else feel this way?

I would say don't let that be one of the reasons to not marry someone though. We all have wants and needs. But it is a matter of distinguishing between the wants and the needs. I know that carlaac already said that she (i am making a guess here) doesn't WANT to marry someone who is like that, but to just keep in mind that if its meant to be, then you will sooner or later just have to let it happen.
Anyways, those areas are boring to me. I like cultural stuff better than a party because there is a stimulus for me instead of staring at something or being bord while people are whatever.
Most people that meet at bars and such. Usually want to have a one night stand. There a plenty of people out there just like you. You just have to look for them and you will find them.
