my name is Brandi and i've been celibate for 3 days now and i don't know how long this will last since i have no will power- but i am really trying and i think its a good thing for me at this point in my life so that i can find a guy who really loves me for me and not what is between my legs- so i joined this group in hopes to get support and help support others- we can do this r atleast try- love is worth waiting for ! I am in the same boat. I am in a relationship but I feel that without sex we can grow stronger emotionally.

u know its funny now that i am trying this i've found guys are coming out of the woodwork to ask me out- as if being celibate is a real man magnet- i never knew.....

Best of luck. I think you have more will power than you think you do... And it's really not that hard to stay true to yourself. It's harder to have to deal with everyone else's misconceptions. I'm sure you will do great.

Welcome to the club! Don't rely on your will power. Rely on your heart. It will tell you what is the right thing for you to do. Also, if you read "the Orgasmic diet" there is a section about how to control your libido through diet. So, if you want that to bother you less there is a simple and natural way to do it.

I have been celibate for over a year now. At first it was like guys came out of the woodwork but after a couple of months I noticed it faded partly because the realized I wasnt "doing it".

Sex is just a sensation, much like handling fine silks. You don't need it despite it feeling nice. ^^

it is one of the most powerful feeling to control the sex instinct. i have started practising celibacy and the boost in my self esteem has been great. i no longer feel enslaved to sex. When the right person comes i will have sex but i dont need to be a slave to sex.
