I did a similar thing a few years ago and also have lived to regret it. No one realizes how serious depression is until it hits you. I too am looking for employment as a result of my poor decisions.

I was a very sexual person but have been in a sexless marriage for many years. At first it was awful, then tolerable. Now honestly I am happiest that way.
I will also mention that there is a half or part way. There are some people who reject intercourse but are open to other forms of sexual intimacy. Not saying that is your situation at all - but just be aware of that when looking for a partner.
As women and men age, our capabilities sexually may change. Some of us don't have issues, but many men have issues with erections and women with lubrication. Hey, our bodies are trying to tell us something.
I know that i cant have sex outside of marriage no matter what, it will lead to a lot of emotional pain and hurt.
I am learning what real intimacy is, which is taking time and going to be worth it I know.
Sex for me has caused so much mental pain and hurt not only for me but for many others as well.
Its only been a little over 9 months since my break down, but I still am not comfortable with someone touching me. Being sexually sober has helped me in many other ways. I am thankful for the SA program. it has helped me a lot.
