Abstinence & Celibacy Support Group
The pressures of sex from peers, the media and culture can be overwhelming, but you are in total control of your body and celibacy is a choice that many are making. Find sanctuary with people who are choosing to abstain without fear of judgment.
i have been celibate for 7 months now this is the longest i have gone with out sex. Im really excited to get to a year! I decided to become celibate because i wanted to show God i was serious about my spiritual relationship with God and i was hoping God would send me my husband (a manifestation of unconditional love). i was sick of dealing with men who had no intentions or no good intentions for me. Before this point I never made a promise to God before about sex so this was a big deal. I even stopped eating meat in solidarity with myself! Symbolism. Even though i miss chick-fil-a chicken minis every morning and the thought of JR cricket wings makes my mouth water. I will survive! So after months of dating men who were treating me better than ever before my husband came! I feel like God delivered in the mail. Amazon Prime lol. So now we are dating and all excited and in love. I want to be all in his face all of the time and now marriage seems so far away. The man found me but now we still have to wait and i need support. We could date for years and im worried he wont be aroused by me later on down the line while we wait. What if we run out of things to do to distract us from how much we want to unite. I need support and ideas on how to work through this. I dont want to pressure him into a quick wedding and we cheat ourselves. Im like damn lets go to the courthouse and do a real wedding later but i feel like id be cheating us. Maybe its too soon. Help me .

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
Celibacy was forced on me by aging scar tissue from childhood trauma, so I have zero personal experience with elective celibacy, but my husband and I have been finding emotional consolations the course of accepting the loss. Perhaps one or two of those consolations could help with your commitment to this bold decision? We see what grows. . .
For now, I'll just offer a bit of support and stabilizing hopes for the process. Welcome aboard.
