Abstinence & Celibacy Support Group
The pressures of sex from peers, the media and culture can be overwhelming, but you are in total control of your body and celibacy is a choice that many are making. Find sanctuary with people who are choosing to abstain without fear of judgment.
It may be rare, given the fact that men are encouraged to be sexual earlier than women, but it is not the least bit strange.
Furthermore, I'd venture to say that such attitude, that anyone wanting celibate is strange is what leads some people to be sexually active earlier than they should.

But better late than never, thanks to Jesus I begin to realize the benefits of celibate,I dont think I can be a celibate for years or a lifetime but at least IM not a sex freak anymore. All that waisted energy,I direct it now towards spiritual growing.
So yes there are guys wanting to be celibate but the pressure from society its HUGE.A woman can say no but a man cant say no.If you say no you are impotent gay etc etc.
If you care about a girl the longer you wait the better. But at the same time theres always the risk of waiting and waiting, then build high espectations about it and maybe dissapointment later when the time comes.
So I dont know.I just wish I could turn back time and make different choises in my sexual life.
I would have to disagree that a guy can't say no, it's just that if he says it, there will be some backlash, so what?
I've been called everything demeaning under the clear blue sky, so what? Does that change who I am? Not in the least. Does that make me feel bad about myself? Don't even go there.
Society may be applying pressure for guys to spread their seed, so to speak but society also pressures guys to be successful in sports, drink til their liver bursts, etc so it's up to the guys to say no to whatever happens to be unhealthy for them.
In short, here's a quote you can live by: "In life we are either self-commanded or we are being commanded" Guy Finley.
I did not become celibate because of some religious reason nevertheless, it has been very rewarding and very peaceful for me. Yes, I may be an "impotent gay loser" or whatever insult you can throw at me but you know what? I am healthy and at peace, and Lord knows I never have to worry about contracting some STD.
At the end of the day, that is ALL that matters to me: My life and what I choose to do with it.

m debating on whether or not i should stay a virgin or go out and hook up with these girls that are talking to me?
I'm not extremely religious but I've made it this far.. could this be something god planned for me?
Also take into account I have been very depressed since moving to college because im worried about my family, my dog, and i miss the reassurance and comfort they give me.. I normally don't mind being by myself but the loneliness is killing me.
Will these experiences of drinking and smoking and sex really make me feel better?
Read my long response on your post, the short answer to your question as to whether you should forgo your virginity and do drugs, alcohol and engage in sex while in college is a resounding NO!!!!
