any one else finding mistakes more often than norm  rather it be grocery stores or where ever?? and when u bring


to attention with smiles and kindness   all u get is rudeness????   I stopped for f'fast.    It was 8.00 and odd change.
So I gave a $20.00 and the odd change correctly.   she owed me 12.00 back.    She did not come back with any money so I got her attention with big smile   said Hon,  you forgot to bring me my change thinking she might   have not looked,  thinking it was a 10,  given correct change,  2,00 tip.    which would make sense.  I said   I gave you a 20.   she goes yes I know....

  she goes OH since u gave me correct  change, (coins) I thought that was my tip !!!!!!
Really?????????????????????   12.00 for 8 dollar b;fast????????  I already had 3.oo for her tip....which is  good  to me, for 8.00.      filled coffee once.    had  to get manager.   she did not want to give up  my 12.00 she said i did not say i wanted change back.   Am i wrong here....  usually if i do not want change back i say keep change.... etc

   Now i went to local restaurant,,,Hosses.  with friends.  young lady waited on us.   food not bad, service good actually.

 bills came.  i used debit card.   got my slip to sign, looked at amount which was correct,    started to sign, and  saw, this is not my charge number.   lifted up  slip and not my card.   my meal was charged to some ones elses card.  Other lady  had someones else card.    other lady had my card.  what a mess.      really????  now each was in the black folker seperate.  so whose cards did we have??? where were theirs????? is this some kind of mistake innocent? or trick no one catches?

Had to be dealt with.    Well  manager did give  some off of our meals...  found correct cards and credits done...  so then we go to grocery store....  check out line.   go to use our cards,  denied.     same cards from Hosses.       cards were frozen cuz of charge/credit mess just 1/2 hour before.  lucky we had money or other cards to use.   

I posted these two situations,  to facebook to get reactions....WOW  one story after another of same.... this happened to me within two week period. and not the first and i know will not be last.   LOL  and what made me shake my head...they blamed the computers....Yes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Hello????????????????  LOL

oops saw mistakes spelling how do i correct once posted. LOL i stopped for breakfast, it was $8.00 not 8 a.m. LOL oh boy now u can rant on my comment mistakes. LOL what a hoot....

you click the little down arrow next to your name and the time or date....that then opens up the update feature....then clicking that it will ask if you want to update the post...yes and you get the text box again....

I think I would have been pissed about the credit card not being mine....I would have really been pissed....

Tips?? For us thats whatever we want to put in there tip bottle.
I haven't had that sort of mix up or people not giving the right change think i would of talked to the manger about it first up.

I watch this show called "Undercover Boss" and it's interesting what these CEO"s find when they go undercover. A lot of people who have no business being in any job that deals with the public. I have watched these undercover boss's fire people and have to expose their true identity. I don't know if it's necessarily due to anyone's age, but a lot to do with attitude. Hugs

went to Hosses to eat with a friend, food was o.k., got bill went to sign and glanced to see if amount is o.k.. and realized this is not my debit card number, lifted merchant copy, customer copy and there was someone's card; NOT mine. Here we go again with mistake but this one could be serious not just 12.00 tip mistake. Did get waitress in time, cards corrected, and got 5.00 off meal. Does any one else check check out slip to make sure correct amount before leaving? check card numbers correct etc.

The only card I have is a debit card and I keep it at home and only use it for emergencies. I'm very nervous now because I went to check my bank balance just before Christmas and someone decided they wanted to take a trip to Texas on my debit card with no money in my account!!! The bank took care of it. I told them to delete that card and send me a new one. I get a new card about every 6 months. I'm so glad you got that straightened out!!! Wow.... Talk about someone having a brain fog!!!

It's annoying when mistakes are so common. I've noticed that for several years now. But everywhere. Including medical (the worst!) mistakes in dental billing. Probs w low grade internet service. Poorly trained customer service people. It goes on and on.

You were right! She was obnoxious! And a thief.

This past summer went to a ?? The one where u drive in and order thru individual intercomms. fast food. My friend got a dsrink, I got a $2 meal. The girl who brought it out asked if she could have the change for tip. Have you ever heard such a thing?? It was my friends bill, so I asked her, she said sure. I said, you just gv her like a $5 tip! lol

I just had a lady the other day tell me to my face that they never slold a product ................that I bought in there store ...............the hole time that she had been there and that was five years ...and I just bought it befor Christmas .....and my h was with me ....I felt like smacking her ....she was so rude ...and I was being very polite ...when I went to look they dident have any ....sold out ...I am not going back ..........................the computer makes mistakes all the time at the gerocrie store when things are on specual .......if you are not watching or looking at your bill you get charged full price .....well ..it isent the computer that is making the mistake ..it us the people not putting the correct price in the computer and how many people to they get with that one ..............

I used to be a waitress and I would have never presumed that a customer's money/change was mine before they even put it on the table! I wouldn't have left her a tip at all after she refused to give my money back. That almost sounds like a racket she's got going; assuming people will be too intimidated to speak up for themselves. Can you imagine if it were a couple of elderly people? I'd type in the name of the place and "reviews" on google or something and see if others have posted a review about them. I'd also call the BBB. That's just ridiculous and I hope no one else is being taken advantage of, especially the elderly or anyone with a mental disability. That's just too bold of a behavior to be a misunderstanding in my opinion.

Bit47 - as up set as I was or more so in shock of her thinking to keep that much, i really think and i always give every one the benefit of doubt. I think she more or less tried to cover up from embarassment. there are good many truck drivers that use this diner along this main highway. I am sure they leave good tips. The usual two ladies, who I know from my travels from one end of state to other past 6 yrs, who always wait on me, were not there that day....vac over holidays. Thinking back, I do not believe it was any scam she does intentionally. I think these guys just let her keep or say to keep change what ever it is. Maybe even more with holidays. I do not know, but this is good diner, and after all the yrs stopping there, never had any food not good or nice folks including new owner. Now the attitude at Hosses restaurant was different situation. I posted this because in the past year, more than once, grocery mistakes, wal mart, and people not knowing how to count change or what to do with change. Was it wrong for her to assume to keep that much , on my yes, especially for us seniors on fix income, but i really think she was embarrassment to her boss knowing, than doing this to others. I hope it was learning lesson for her. she is young, maybe still high school, first job, I was shocked surprised? and now have learned I am not only one, finding mistakes and being disrespected from younger folks. But i will say, i had the nicest young man wait on me for lunch other day.... his flirting with us, no doubt all ages with his charm, LOL, gets him good tips. LOL. my friend kidded me one thing to be a cougar but robbing cradle flirting, he is in 20's. Hey it made for nice lunch and laughter...all in fun. " ~ ))

Every time I walk into CVS pharmacy, someone always says hello. And when I go to Grocery Outlet, I always leave laughing because the workers and myself joke around. I feel really blessed that people here are so nice. Not to say every store is like that, but so far so good!
