All are welcome to join our group. We're here to share advice, encouragement, and ideas on how to build better lives for ourselves. We can discuss all aspects of daily living, along with anything else that’s on your mind. Each of us knows a little, and together, we know a lot that can help us each to reach higher and go further in life. There's such a lot...

It's been a long time since I read that piece of information. People swear they act as if they don't and gotta put on a facade to show they don't so they can look good for the public. If it bothers you, don't listen to it. I've been cursed out by my mom many times and I grew up with swearing in the household said it towards my parents and my mom said to us 4 kids. I really swear when I am angry, but when I am not, I use a couple of swear words. So, swearing does not bother me regardless since my mom cursed us out for years, I don't let swearing from other people bother me.
I knew people who hated when I used too much swearing. I told them I am a grown adult, let grown people do what they want to do. No matter how pink, blue, or red you get in the face, you will not change someone's mind on swearing. I wouldn't attempt to tell someone differently nor am I interested in playing God or some kind of savior to "make them stop cursing."
Try hearing a bunch of swear words in Europe, it is common over there. Here in America, we are the ones with the issues and our heads buried in the sand about it. We still find swearing a "controversial issue" when it shouldn't be.
That said, I also think there's a difference between me and someone who can open her/his mouth without using profanity. Speech is an indicator of how one processes her/his present situation.
fast forward, the same words came over here to America. i grew up in a household of my mom always cursing us out me and my sister always cursed her out because she deserved it. its funny when you point out to my mom about her swearing she claims she only uses the words once in a while oh really? i lost count on my fingers the times in fights/arguments of the swear words u used on us but says i dont swear?
any fool who says i dont use swear words is a liar. although we grew up in a household full of negativity, racism, lies, manipulation, and swearing, i dont let swearing bother me from other people. all u have to do is tune it out why is it that hard for people to do? i hate when people get after me about my choice of words i am 27 a grown adult let grown people do what they want to do. i could have sworn that if your grown people shouldnt tell you what to do with your life but they still do.
I still swear here and there but not that much.
There's one swear word i cant tho, it sounds so vulgar to me and thats the c word
There have been times when I have been in public and shushed teenagers who are being verbally obnoxious when there are families with young children around. So far, the reaction to my "shushing" has been taken well. The old term gutter language is certainly fitting for all types of cussing, swearing, and profanity.
It does not belong in public among civilized folk.
