Hello. I\'m seeking a group that can help support me through divorce which is final 3 years this October after a 20-year+ marriage. I have 2 kids, one in college and one in H.S. The divorce was rough as I left a sociopath and there is was much cruelty and fear. I mange to get myself and the kids away, we moved, I started all over in my business at age 57, lost my retirement, my home, my airplane, all furnishings, got one of the 7 vehicles, lost my hangar, lost both of the kid\'s college funds, but I got my kids, my freedom, and our safety. He continued to stalk for two years and I think that has finally ended but I never know. He\'s good at tormenting others. I cannot tell you how many women have contacted me wanting to know how I got away from the sociopath because they were so frightened. So his patterned continued. I am a counselor so I have had to deal with the reactions of \"So why didn\'t you know he was a sociopath\" or \"Why did you stay so long.\" I have my reasons for staying that I\'m okay with. And nobody really knows a sociopath until you\'re in deep. That\'s when I left which triggered his worst. But I am strong and knew I could do it. We all lost significant weight when I had no money to feed them, we slept on camping pads for 18 months because we lost our beds (he is filthy rich and his attorney was way better than mine obviously but it was all I could afford--and my family helped me pay for her). We moved to a wonderful town and all three love it here. My kids are soon to fly the coup and then I have to face my singleness completely. Which gives me hope and yet trepidation too. So I\'m looking for positive support and genuine connection, as best as it can be online. I\'m receptive to feedback so never hesitate to tell me the way it is. I\'m a novice at single living after 20+ years so it\'s exciting and yet daunting too.
