You reap what you sew
Partially within me is a mentality of 'have faith good things will happen.'
Passivity in certain parts of my life will not work things out.
I realize now the old adage 'you reap what you sew.'
For those things I have devoted myself to I have seen wonderful results. I may not know the direction I am going in ultimately but I know with persistence, pointing myself in a direction and devotion, time will yield results!

a street translation of the biblical axiom is, "what goes around comes around." when i learned the biblical version as an adult, i found i liked the street version better. looking to reap what i sew limits my vision to the vigilant watch and tending to what i have planted. what goes around comes around helps me plant seeds of kindness and peace without attempting to control the results of planting.
or am i lost in metaphor again? ? ?
