you don't have to come to me perfect

I read a really interesting passage in a book today about friendship.
Additionally I have had a really rough day - up and down - all over the map
and it's distressing some. I wish I had a better grasp of things.
The bad anguish makes me feel isolated, like apart from others -
yet I realize we all have this at times. I may feel 'less than' in the process, in the grips of it,
but what I am recognizing is that we don't have to 'come to others' all perfect
and self possessed. I think a friend should be someone we can come to
and be ourselves. Warts and all.
I don't feel like a very strong person as I have only managed to manage my illness.
I do have a job - and a routine I keep- but when I imagine others out there - I think of 'the every man"
that we are taught to think of - who has the career, the spouse, the house, the kids and nice car.
I wish I could validate myself for fitting somewhere outside the box.

Big hug for you sweetie... I don\'t think anyone has a life that\'s all easy....When we don\'t know what goes on behind closed doors or within another\'s mind we can imagine that they have the \'perfect life\'...You fit in here perfectly sweetie... You are a wonderful and kind friend for all who know you and I consider myself blessed....xo
