you can do it

life alone may serve up a lot of conundrums...

how to do it?

how to live responsibly - smart and caretaking of it all

yourself - your work - your finances - your freetime - your household

?

and yet to live as you are...for who you are....

are you able to not let those critical voices of the past experience

shut you down - draw you below the water line, draw you back

into feeling you are wrong for asserting yourself - back to submission

you can do it - you can live - it will be a fight - it will be all types of things

all kinds of things

it will be fun at times and it will be a slog at others..

You can do it- value yourself - and maybe accept the mix of

love and embattlement or complex feelings...

one psychiatrist talked about how some have a hard time

with the mix of 'love and hate' - i suppose that's one way

of looking at it - I just wanted to mention that...if it resonates

with anybody.

write it out! :) xx

the more I think about it - the more comfortable I get with just living my own boogie
and making my life. There's no way of life - there might be a kind of science to it -
all the things you're supposed to learn - or what kind of structure from youth to adulthood
would be smart to give to an offspring to have them prepared for the journey - but seriously
life is creative and life is individual....I was not meant to have kids. I like kids and if
I would have had them I would have liked to have a big house of ten kids screaming and making
trouble - but that's just not for me....I can be a good uncle. A doting Uncle and God Father.
I can make my life and for all it's variability I can live with what my feelings are.
I'm tempted at times not to trust my feelings - as though I can unfairly cross myself.
But things can get better and good.

Markus,
I had written a response earlier but it didn’t go through….

I have been thinking about ways that my life can feel “full” and what that looks like. I really wanted to be a mom and that never came to fruition. I’m eternally a babysitter and still full of the same nurturing, but I had to spend a lot of time in therapy to deal.

Relationships can be full of difficulties and may not necessarily equate to being life-fulfilling in some cases. Obviously it’s amazing if they do but there is a side to it that may bring forth all kinds of other facets of happiness or unhappiness.

I feel like what I wrote before was far more thoughtful…but you are SO lucky to be an uncle and a God Father!

We are all out here searching for fulfillment in some way shape or form, and trying to be the beat versions of ourselves. I become full of self doubt if I sit around and think about it all too much. Living is where we make new discoveries.

Sending a hug and peace!
How is the rain?

You should buy an umbrella! Should I send you a photo of what an umbrella is? Haha

the more i think on it, the more i believe there is no option to living my own boogie. when i'm dancing to "the supposed to boogie," played by most beloved artists, i'm still hearing and dancing to my own interpretations of their rendition.

be you. it's all ya got.

i find myself surprised that you like children. i wasn't aware that you even knew children exist. for what it's worth: some of the most influential people i know are nurturing by nature, but deprived of having children of their own. their powerful influence comes from channeling that nurturing nature into working with children. volunteer mentors are the top of that very list. i have a special hall in my hall of superheroes, just for them. i'm not at all sure i could have survived my childhood without the mentors who cared enough to spend some time with me. they were my source of hope in hopeless situations.
