Yesterday

Yesterday was the weirdest day - I felt odd about collecting books and pictures the day before and have to work through them. Yesterday was hard as well as it was the last day of term for the children, and I haven't seen them for over a year but we used to have very special start to the school holidays. So I struggled through the day BUT....

Whilst in jail I had written a couple of pieces which I put into a competition, but hadn't heard anything so I'd assumed I wouldn't. Yesterday though an envelope arrived with some very positive feedback and a cheque for 25 pounds! Bit of a boost, then a friend emailed me last evening to say he had heard from my eldest son that he wanted to see me. Long way to go yet but excited about even the possibility as up to yesterday I didn't even know if any of my children would ever want to see me - I had hoped, of course, but didn't know.

Here's to finding the joy in the way it comes. That's the way to keep moving forward.

Good work!
