Ahhhhh, a blank page to do whatever I want. It's a gift. I was researching online last night when Annie leaped into my arms. Leaped......stopped this little typist right in her tracks. Knocked my hands off the keys & made me laugh. We had a good talk me & little Annie.
Annie has been sitting on the table next to me as I type today. She's finding ways to be close to her Maw without being jealous of her new little brother. It's amazing really......Rio has been a Maw Hog, cause he's little & silly. So ferocious --- then sleeps ON ME in these incredible lying on your back ......how to explain?
He looks like a real life stuffed animal.......all boneless and anti gravity.......such odd positions that can't possible be conducive to sleep, but oh he does. I usually have to move before his nap is over, so I scoop him up in the extra material of my gown.....and deposit him elsewhere. He cries & cries until I settle back down so he can. He is a toddler boy through and through......that little mewling sound is adorable, I don't care who you are.......it'll get to ya one way or another. It makes me laugh and makes me feel all earth mothery........which is good for me, good for my spirits.
Didn't plan on writing another pet journal,but as long as I've come this far....
Rio played floor hockey with a pair of my reading glasses.......stole them off this very table & had a great match. Glasses are all in one piece, sustained little Rio graffiti bitemarks on everything except the lenses........dollar stores are awesome right?!?! no worries.
How does the neighborhood cat messaging network work exactly? My cats are strictly indoors, we've had an Annie look-a-like kitty come calling on Annie for months. That drove Annie a wee bit crazy. Now we have look-a-like kitty plus a big yellow kitty camping out on the front porch.....a pretty black and white kitty visited our patio this morning......with Rio & the new plants we have more birds, bugs, bunnies, cats, lizards & frogs. I gotta laugh......I prayed to have more life here........maybe I should have specified HUMANS???????
Sorry I got sidetracked, what I want to know is how do the other neighbor cats know about the kitties that live here? Please explain. I did not put any "new arrival balloons" on my mailbox, I didn't throw an all cats party and put out cat treats.....so how do they know? Do they go through the trash????????? lol...........see the cat food cans?????? I didn't blast the soundtrack of CATS??????? "Midnight......all alone in the moonlight?".....nutty as a fruitcake, that's right.
The rain was wonderfully insane last night, big storm, lots of sky fireworks!!!!!!!
Hey, did you hear about the Ring of Fire on Sunday??? How pretty was that? We couldn't see it here in GA, could you see it where you live??? This sore ears/throat/glands thing is kind of a drag......cuppa hot tea sounds good. Walking better today........love that! 5 days of mega rest and now this little reprieve from the governor.........I'll take it.
What else? Oh..........I was reading about a man who survived being shot in the head......most of the bullet is still in his brain......, more than survived, he is able to talk and go and do. He has to take lots of meds for terrible headaches, seizures, and has meds for anti other stuff too........anyway he said that he subscribed to "Better Living Made Possible by Chemistry." (as his outlook for a way of life) It cheered me up...........we can change our perspective, how we look at things.......what we can do, what we get to do.......and yeah to be honest also, it is hard as hades to be sick sometimes, but what else are we gonna do? i'm not gonna let it suck out all the light and joy in my life. If meds help take them, don't beat yourself up needlessly (ya'll know I'm talking smart choices)
I don't have to be perfect.....vent sure, but also keep looking up.......looking out.....looking for more, for me.........if that sounds self-ish then so be it........
I think we need to be selfish.......self-care, self-grounded, self love........kinds of stuff.......not arrogant or being a dumb ol jerk.........but healthy about putting our needs in the proper place so we can have some semblance of balance........................don't know where that came from........whoooooooopsy daisy......grilled cheese sounds good to me.....and that cuppa hot tea. slice up a pear for dessert......yum

THE MAN YOU MENTIONED REMINDED ME OF A COUPLE PATIENTS I HAD WHEN I WAS STILL IN \'THE BIG CITY\'! THEY BECAME MOROSE AND THOUGHT THEY\'D FLUSH THEMSELVES DOWN THE TOIDY WITH A GUN IN THE MOUTH.........AND GUESS WHAT.........THEY ALSO HAD SOME AWFUL KINDA HEADACHE FOR THE COUPLE YRS WE KNEW THEM AS THEY CAME IN & OUT FOR RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY!! GUESS THE MORAL OF THAT ONE IS PRETTY OBVIOUS EH? ONE I CLD HAVE IMAGINED, BUT TWO IN THE SPACE OF 10YRS....WOWSERS!!
Love the kitty stories! I can just imagine Rio playing with your glasses and Annie coming to help you write your journal. My baby \"hot dog\" dog thinks I can\'t use my laptop unless she\'s on my lap first. Leads to a lot of typos.
I heard about the partial eclipse, but didn\'t see it here either(near Chicago). But I did have a Johnny Cash song in my head all day - Ring of Fire kept playing in my mind after I read about it.

I think kitties can maybe smell other cats from a distance. Is that a silly thought? Or like whales they might talk to each other. Good question about how they know a new cat is in the neighbor hood. Keep feeling like an earth mother. That is healing.
