Yeah the grumpy old man went home

The man I was talking about when I was working last week, went home, so when I came in last night  to work and heard the news, I just jumped up and down and smiled all night long. I swear he was draining my life force just right out of me.... Now we can take care of the other people properly without having to go to him alll the time. I have also made up my mind that I am going to the other  people first that don't raise such a fuss and is just a pain in the ass. Because I find the assholes in this world are going to be assholes no matter whether they get service first or last. I feel much better in making that decision....We have this nice old lady that is dying and I got to spend time with her last night. Well I am off to work tonight, if the lady doesn't improve over today I am afraid tonight might be the night she dies. That really doesn't bother me anymore as I have seen countless people die throughout my nursing career, well you do have that cry when your at home watching something sad, but try to stay tough for the family. Sometimes when I am really close to that patient I get depressed for a couple of days. Well off to work again tonight. Cheers to allCindy

Cindy,
Sounds like you had a good night. I have found that usually one demanding resident is usually replaced with another. There is no such thing as permanent reprieve...unfortunately. Hugs, Inga
